Job Description

This independent Bristol-based Pensions Consultancy with clients across the UK, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Scheme Actuary / Corporate Actuary. Their aim is to provide the highest quality advice and service helping clients optimise their investment strategy and to manage, reduce or eradicate the risks associated with defined benefit pension schemes.
The Scheme Actuary / Corporate Actuary will be a consultant to a portfolio of schemes, preparing and presenting advice to clients. They will need to have experience of supporting and developing colleagues through funding valuations and project work. In addition to consulting, they will also be responsible for carrying out and overseeing technical calculations. The Scheme Actuary / Corporate Actuary will also support new business opportunities, including input to tender submissions and presentations to trustees and scheme sponsors.
Although the role is based in Bristol, there is scope to work from home or another location.
The role requires someone who has experience working as a Scheme Actuary (or can achieve Scheme Actuary status in the short term) and/or consultant whilst maintaining a hands-on approach to technical calculations.
